Most aftermarket wings the studs/bolts do NOT line up with the factory drilled holes.

David the 'Air' wing (on the yellow car link) looks like a GTS copy (probably except for materials). The other one looks like it a much higher offset mounting (maybe like the one Dan showed earlier) I'm- not really very interested in that.

Jim - Yes - I see that Carl's wing looks like it needs at least one new mounting hole per side...

Alan,
Kevin C. had an aftermarket wing for sale at the last Hershey swap meet.

Think he's going to be there again this year.
Drop him a PM. Maybe he'll sell you one. Think it was fiberglass and looked like S4 wing on steroids. Didn't get a picture of it.

Well, I checked on the wing from Nineapart. Not for me, so it is still available. I thought his price was high. Anyway, here it is...

Looks like normal painted factory wing.

There is company in UK which sells Strosek copy for £300. Anyone know how good it is? I have their web address on another computer somewhere.

IMHO, 928Intl has the best price/value for an after market wing I recently had my wing repainted, and some bozo pushed a shopping cart into it causing a small but conspicuous chip

Larry - any pictures of the 928intl wing ? the only one I see on their site is a fiberglass version of the standards smooth GTS wing.

I too checked out the canadian porsche-apart one and determined it was a standard GTS style wing (& I already have one!...). I agree its a bit expensive since you have to refinish it (and it may need work).

Not sure about Carls wing - looks like it is elevated quite high and it has non stock mounting points => drilling the hatch.

Erkka - please send me the details - and yes anyone have one?

Alan

Hi Guys,

This wing I was referring to from 9-a-part is the "upper wing" on the top of the glass.

The lower one in Jims picture is a standard S4 wing painted body color.

I would run away from one of these as most are not done properly.

928 INTL has a write-up on their web site on how to properly paint a stock wing. I would still buy a F/glass repro though.

Cheers,
Michael

Erkka,
any more info on the UK Strosek like wing - I may be passing through the UK on my way to Finland - looks I'll now be in Helsinki the week of June 17-19 - will you be around then?

Michael - what is the wing you have on your car - a Strosek or Jaquemond...?
how was the fitment - same as stock?

Alan, did I ever send you the link? Its http://porscha.co.uk.

Because of too expensive shipping and no info on how good quality wing it is friend ended up ordering from http://www.jacquemond.com. It should have arrived by now but there seems to be some delay.

Mid June sounds OK at the moment.
