Well, about those Boxters ...
but...
I have seen a number (3) of Boxters in new condition.
Maybe 7 or 8 924 and 944's in varying condition
from excellent, damaged but shiny, to ratty.
And two of 911 series.
I know there are at least two othe sHARKs in town and heard a rumor of another in Odessa -sister city-.
I am also sure there are other Porsche's in Odessa.
I would like to have a gathering - without the official PCA stamp of approval- for a variety of reasons.
1.Other than Shane or Snow we are probably one of the most isolated of the continental P'car owners.
300 miles from anywhere would be a good motto.
2.The other Porsche series owners probably aren't the OGRE's we sometimes make them out to be.
3. I believe we could have at least a quarterly gathering/breakfast run and be home before the local Politzei make the morning shift change.
4. I believe some of the other Porsche folks out here think that 928's are Datsun Z cars and I would like to set the record straight at a sHARk petting paddock.
5. I have yet to witness the famous P'car wave of recognition.
6.We are being overrun by BMW's and Merc's out here.
7.And to make this a flame thread I would like to include virtually any sports car at the meets- shades of SCCA, Batman -.
Is there some way of going thru the Rennlist or the Big Three etc. to see who's out here and at least communicate the possibility of a meeting of the tribes?

You may remember we sort of did this a couple of months ago. W/o nefarious interference from PCA (except positive comments and publicity); the other P-car owning ogres were generally supportive; with the help of Max, Houston 928 mail list, Austin mail list, Hill Country (Austin) & Longhorn (San Antonio) PCA; & DEVEK for give-aways. You can also search the P-caronline for regional owners. Good luck and let me know if I can help.
