When I was messing around with the RMS last time there was a rattle coming from the clutch area, you could only hear it underneath the car though. Anyway I was just checking things over and looking for anything obvious and I noticed there was sideways movement as per the inidcated arrows.
How tightly located should this part be?

Thanks

Chris, the release bearing should fit in the release arm with some friction, you might have the wrong release arm or the wrong release bearing there are different sizes.
Call Jim B at 928 internl. He can get you fixed right up. The groove on the inside of the release bearing should be filled with grease also make sure to get a new guide tube with the new bearing as there are also different sizes of these IIRC. Remeber that the release bearing spins all the time thet the engine is running so dont let it get wet by washing you engine unless you plug the hole at the top of the bellhousing to prevent water running down the release arm
