Rim Width And Offset???
Quick question on rims.
I'm selling my 16" slot rims on ebay
and was asked what the width and the offset are?
The rims are slotted, flatdish of an '85.
Thanx in advance for the ifo folks.
Cheers

Hey Bernie,
You can goto 928 Specialist and look under Tips/Links. This will give you a list of factory wheel and tire specs.
Good Luck,

Ed: I have a set of 16" phone-dials that I have an opportunity to mess with. I plan to widen them. If one splits the rim and separates the bead with a spacer, what would you calculate the max interference-free width will be, without moving the hub from its side? WOuld it be different front from back?

I've never heard of anyone doing what you propose to the OEM one-piece wheels. If they are two or three piece wheels, then I stand corrected. Otherwise - I advise you not split them. A set of aftermarket wheels that are wider would probably be both safer and more cost effective. YMMV.
