Question Looking for a 928 mechanic

Hi all,
Just an update on the power steering leak on my 91. I removed the fans/shroud and alternator to get better access to my ps resevoir. I found the feed hose from the bottom of the res to the pump loose and softened so I have a new one on the way. I have nearly completed the transfer of all the sludge from the bottom of my engine to my fingerails. While I have access, I decided to change all the belts and hoses (radiator). Then I figured that even though I have only 40K miles on the car, the T belt is 11 years old and should be replaced. That is where I draw the line on my own mechanic abilities therfore I'm looking for a good? (would I look for a bad one?) 928 mechanic in the Milwaukee, WI area. I don't know any Shark owners in the area yet but I recall someone mentioning a mechanic locator site somewhere. Can anybody help me with that?

Also, I was planning on flushing the radiator and block when I put the new hoses on but wouldn't it make sense to have that done with the T belt and water pump replacement?

Two listed on Dana's mechanic reference page:

To answer your second question - yep. Otherwise you just do it twice. Since the hoses have to come off to do the belt, maybe a combo operation?

oh, YOU CAN DO IT!! A t-belt water pump job isnt that hard at all!! There are enough resorces out there you can do it yourself. TRUST ME! ive done mine and ive never taken an autoshop class and i DIDNT sleep at a Holiday INN Express either!! Just take your time and ask us questions. Click the link below and from there you should be able to find more resources. Often a job done right is one you do your self. Id lay good $$$$ down that any mechanic you go to cant show you the porsche tension tool! if they cant, walk away. Dont take the line "we set it by feel" or "we slighly overtighten it so it doesn have to be retensioned" etc etc.

you need the tool (it can be rented) or buy the after market tool...and the belt does need to be retensioned after a few 1000 miles!
