San Diego meet & road run (S.D. & L.A. folks)
Saturday 2/23 is right around the corner and we now have info on the planned trip...
This will be a longer than usual drive through the scenic hills and dales of Sunrise Summit, Warner Springs and down into Borrego. Expect the weather to be cool on the road out and warm in the desert.
The plan is to meet at 10AM - and get on the road about 10:45. Lee H. will have the written itinerary/map for us. The drive will take an hour to an hour and a half and once in Borrego we will be stopping for lunch. After this we can come back the way we came - or split up and take alternate routes back south or north as desired.
Please note, for the first time we will NOT be meeting in the usual place (Carlsbad). Since this is an easterly trip we will be meeting on Interstate 15 just north of Escondido, quite central for most folks and just as easy to get to.
The meeting place is the Park & Ride on the north/east corner of the Deer Springs Road / Mountain Meadow Road exit off Interstate 15, roughly 6 miles north of the 78 / 15 junction in Escondido. You will see an AM/PM Arco on the exit on the west side - a good place to gas up if your OK with the brand. But we will be meeting at the park & ride on the other side (east side).
Should be cool! and a great opportunity to let the 928 fly.

Hey Brian,
With the weather warming that would be a good opportunity for me to do the first top-down cruise of the year.
Unfortunately, I'll be on the North Slope of Alaska on business - maybe do some ice fishing on the Artic Ocean!
I'm sure the run will be a fun one - I look forward to seeing the pics.

Just want to push this up top as a reminder for the S.D. road run on Saturday - open to all 928 owners or enthusiasts (with or without 928, hmmm I'll be in my tried & trusted 944, well at least it's 1/2 a 928!)
