VIN Locations

In the engine compartment along the passenger fender you should at least have a vin stamped there. It will be WP0ZZZ928JS861121 instead of your US titled VIN but you can assume that and replace the ZZZ with our country code.

I believe Afshin is correct, though starting in 1990 rather than afterwards.
Front right quarterpanel, A-pillar, driver's doorjam, and the build sticker in the hatch are the only areas 1990-on to the best of my knowledge.
I think Jim Bailey has mentioned there being other "hidden" VIN locations as well. I don't recall him saying specifically where, though.

Lol, I guess I need to tell why I ask. I was talking to a friend of mine that is a rebuilder and he was telling me a story about a state inspection gone bad. He took an older vette down for it to be inspected and they made him cut away a peice of the rocker panel to expose a hidden VIN. He was pissed and everything was, of course not stolen. Now that he has ben doing this respectivly for 28 years they dont even bother to mess with him.
