Hey Ryan,

offer is good through this weekend and all of next week. I will change my prices sometime next weekend.

I will have you know that Ostriches are fierce, noble birds. A little on the stupid side, but hey, you can't have everything

No i agree about the Ostrich, they look like a real PITA. A friend of my dad was raising them for meat 15 years ago or more and i heard lots of stories.

Its good to know when you got a leather guy who's not afraid to use his ostrich though!

You think you could knock out Pod covers if we had this kind of response to them. Then you can just work one pattern for a day and knock out however many you can and make us all happy. Of course then I would love to see a airbag dash group buy and a center console group buy and door armrests group buy so on and so forth.

Paul, wtf about us auto trans guys that need something to wrap out sticks with?

Such discrimination on Rennlist it is sick........... I suppose since I'm an "auto", it's cost me double.

Hey Sean,

well, I would not dream of leaving the auto guys behind, I'm one of the club remember.
Don't want to alienate Roger either, I need a place to stay when I visit Dallas

How's this:

The boot comes with it's own bottom plate, that glues over the stock one. Just peel and stick.

But you do loose the letters on the shift plate.

For those who like details, this boot is made with 4 true French seams:

This is rare, as it is fairly hard to do.

Looks like $500.00, how much do us 'auto' guys get to pick it up for?

Paul,

I dont suppose you could french seam the 5 speed boot could you? I would imagine that the extra backing for the french seam would be problematic for getting around the rubber base.

Or is this a possibility?

Love the autostick version! Hey with a tag line like "Just peel and stick" you need to sell these on infomercials at 4am on random channels, you would sell like a billion or something. People love peel and stick anything! Great idea!

Sean,

the auto boot is $75 + shipping. It does include the bottom plate. I need to know which shifter you are using (ie: stock T-handle, Jager etc.) to size the collar.

Ryan,

the design of the stock 5 speed boot makes it impossible to French seam both sides. The side facing the back of the car could be French seamed, to add a contrasting tread detail for example, but the rubber head would need to be modified a bit.
I'm all about custom work, you guys know that by now, but in this case, I think it would detract from the simplicity of the original. Sometimes, more is not better.
