Gretzky that picture has been circulated before. If I remember correctly these pick up 928's were modified to make them affordable or avoid heavy taxation in Denmark or something like that.

Ask Niels about it on Phil Tong's board.

Yep - in Denmark you have to pay ridiculous import taxes on passenger cars, but not on trucks. It was cheaper to convert a 928 to a pickup than to pay the taxes.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and that includes the Porsche 4-Seaters. Let me see, if I can make these links work for you:

And for those who have not seen it, yet, here is what the Porsche sedan would have looked like, had it become the successor of the 928 in the early 90ies. It turned out to be too expensive, though...

Cheer up folks,
I have yet to see a 928 running in a Tractor Pull.
And my worst fear is an upscale version of the Dukes of Hazzard. The Dudes of Fresno, perhaps.
I HAVE seen that Rolls Royce that ran in the Baja a few years back. No brain, no pain...
Besides, the El Sharko would make it easier on we few(?) elderly 928 owners when grocery shopping. And just think of how cold the Brew or Vino- twist cap- would be if you filled that puppy up with ice.
