I'm installing my super charger (79' track car) and I junked the vent tube that has the water line running though it. The small ( aprox 3/8" ID) line runs from the back of the water "bridge" to the rear of the driver's side head. I would like to eliminate it and plug the holes. Can somebody tell me what this hose is there for?

The hot water was to keep the vapors hot so they would flow better into the air cleaner. Was eliminated in 1980 and that hose you "junked" is no longer made or available....

Thank you Jim. So it looks like I'll just eliminate it.

I didn't throw the vent hose away. It's in very good shape so if anybody needs it just send me note.
