Default Brake Pad Sensor Question

Im replacing all of the brake pad sensors in my 86.5 928. The question that has come up is how does the warning contact fit into the push-on connector?

Many Thanks!

The wires go in to the sensor slightly offset. The thicker side of the sensor faces inward toward the rotor.

I believe I have the wrong part. I have a pic of the sensor that came from my car. The only id it has is 399-2.

Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks!

The part on the left is your ABS sensor, and the part in the package is the correct brake wear sensor.

are you trying to replace the ABS sensor or the brake pad sensor? Both those sensors go into a cylindrical harness but youve pulled the wrong one. The bagged one is the correct brake pad wear sensor.

Put the ABS sensor back, hopefully its ok cause those are expensive, the pad wear sensor goes to the middle of the pad itself and when the pad is worn down trips the circuit to tell you to replace the brakes.
