A few more pieces of the puzzle are in place!
I wanted to wait until I have pics, but I'm bored and thought I'd post a 'teaser' :
For any of you following along at home, I started my current project about 18 months ago with an '85 5 speed that already had over 200k miles on it. The interior was trashed, but the outside was about a 7 (at 20 feet ) and the engine ran strong.
The first 12 months or so were devoted to getting the brakes, engine, clutch (and all of the bushings along the way) steering and suspension up to snuff. I was also working on minor cosmetic stuff, but only during down time.
Well, I'm not 100% done with the engine, (the intake refresh parts are on the shelf and ready thanks to Roger at 928sRus!) I've got the upper ball joint rebuild kit ready (thanks Carl @ 928 MS) as well as various bushings and other items to do, but in December I started on the interior.
This week I've added a stereo head unit, four new full range speakers, a 10" sub, and 840 watt amp with all new wiring throughout (with the advice of several on here, thank you very much). It only sounds AWESOME!
In January I got my new leather seat covers from Rob Budd and just this Friday I got what I was waiting for to complete the major part of the interior and my rear seat delete project: New Carpeting!!! (Thanks Rob at 928 Leather Shop).
I'm going with Silver Grey (or marble I think) Sliverknit carpeting with black vinyl interior (and leather seats/center armrest) and I'm going to have my set of phone dials painted MeteorGrey metallic and gloss black (Old school baby).
Next week I think I'm going to take a day or two off to install the carpet and seats. Look for pics here!!!

Mike,
What part of the ris are you painting grey and what part black? Is Meteorgrey metallic and porsche color? I remember that color name from somewhere. Soulds like you have been busy..

Yeah the color of my car is Meteorgrey Metallic. I'm thinking of going with mostly gloss black, with grey lip on the wheels, the center caps, and grey inside the ovals of the phone dials. Or I may just go with black rims with a grey or silver lip on it.
It's been a long slow labor of love, but I feel like I'm finally making some real noticeable progress.

That set looks great, it just doesn't match the color of the carpet swatch I got last year to do the rear seat delete portion. Otherwise I would have kept it.
The carpet set should be at your door tomorrow. I'll PM the tracking number.
