Post Carpet Help Needed

I am trying to chase down a driver's side carpet piece for my '87 S-4 in grey-green. I can theoretically purchase a factory replacement through 928 Specialists for over $400, but was hoping someone on Rennlist might either have access to one they were willing to part with or have other ideas about where I can locate a reasonably priced one. Thanks!

You can just go to a trim shop and order a piece of carpet for your car. Sliverknit usually runs about $59/yard and they can cut it, or you can cut it to fit. Spray adhesive on the carpet and the body will set it in place. If you need a piece with the jute backing on it, the trim shop can take care of it for you as well. I'm not sure what market you're in but just about any trim shop can order that for you.
Good Luck!

Cool

Just a suggestion: I recently was able to purchase almost the entire interior out of a car the same year as mine and the same interior colors, because the owner had converted his to a race car and the stuff was cluttering up his garage. We both won. And it was grey-green, but I want to keep my extra carpet. Maybe someone with another grey-green interior out of their race car will notice this and you can but more than the carpet.
