hahaha.
yeah, BUT... he came here and asked for our help... we all graciously jumped at it, because we'd like the same from our community if it happened to us...
he asked our help, so you have to assume he thought it would be worth his time to register to post... if so, my logic would carry that I would check back the PM/thread fairly soon/frequently to see if my hunch that registering was worthwhile paid off... the first question on more details (so we could better help) was made by me about 24 hours ago 15 minutes or so before he logged off.
then, 14-16 hours later (this afternoon) he was back online and posting in other threads, but has not seen fit to update the thread he posted asking for help (an update, that would do nothing but allow us to better help him)... I dunno. something seems off.
maybe he's just a total forum n00b and is sitting there with the page open waiting for it to refresh itself.

First I wanna thank each and every person who posted. Thanks for keeping this alive, please keep on keeping it alive for reasons below.
This is the info I have to date,
The car was stolen by a drug addict, recovered by the police, sent to another police department and then the trail goes cold or "hot as my son see's it ". Nobody knows where the car is. I wanna give crazy details to all you great people because it's getting juicy (and will as I learn the absolute truth). I need to hold back today with names and accusations because I might be serving up a civil suit .
The car is still missing and to be totally frank nobody on the good side of the law gives a F@#K, or should I just maybe say, nobody wants to give up any info because "the supposed good side of the law" might be the architect of why the car went missing after recovery.
My Grandfather was a state police officer and he basically told me the town cops are not much different than the ones sitting in the back seat
So in conclusion, the car was/is stolen and still missing

thanks man... consider all above criticisms retracted but left posted for good measure.
I nailed it when I said something seemed off though.
best of luck... get a lawyer working on it asap, as well as escalate to any higher LE possible. sheriffs maybe. SP. FBI whatever. keep us posted, we'll keep and eye out.

There was a thread on here some time ago that started on another list about a scam artist in NJ. The list members started emailing him, then the local paper, finally a police officer who lived almost next door, and justice was finally served. Maybe these folks who "took" the car need to hear from us. Anybody agree/disagree?

If your story is true, and the local police have your car but aren't giving you any information about its whereabouts or when you'll get it back, contact the state Attorney General's office, and/or get a lawyer and file a lawsuit. I know it's Pennsyltucky, but I've worked with various levels of law enforcement there and I've never encountered anything approaching this.
For the record, I am, in fact, on the "good side of the law," hard at work RIGHT NOW spending your tax dollars. Oops... maybe I should get back to that.

unfortunately for me it's all real. I wish it was a story, a civil suit is on it's way and "Attorney General's office" is informed.
Imagine your car is stolen, your first inclination is hate for the person who violated you and took your property. Only to learn that law enforcement might have been the architect .

Are you saying that your local law enforcement officials set this up to have your car stolen and for them to keep it?
