Cool The prodigal son returns...

Hey guys, just dropping in to see how everyone's doin'...

I've been helluva busy business-wise so I haven't been posting lately. I've also decided to sit this season out and turn the Bully into a full-on race car. (I'm happy with the 540 as my performance tourer now, but I couldn't help tinkering with it either...) He-he, I can't even keep our kitchen appliances standard!

The Bully's getting a complete new suspension from Billstein's racing dept and a whole bunch of other performance upgrades & things 'while we're at it...'

But right now I'm more interested in what you guys have been up to. Nicole, got your email thanks. I'll get back to you in the next day or so. I see you're still posting actively.(U still remind me of my mother *lol*) John, I hear Pattycakes had a mishap in a parking lot?

Anayway, I Hope U all doin' well?

Talking

Pierre,
Thought of you this week when they announced that a South African businessman was going to be the second "paying tourist" into outer space. And of course your old post with the jpeg of that upscale nitwit cruising in traffic with the fuel nozzel and 5 feet of hose hangin' off the filler neck has made the rounds in my neck of the woods. I, shamelessly, downloaded the flick and printed numerous copies of same.
So! What did you do to source a transmission? Rebuild? Did you ever get around to re drilling the crank? If you are going to push the Bully it might save a lot of heartbreak... Did you have drop links before? Any clearance problems? Been meaning to ask, have you remained 'stock' in the engine management department?
Yeah. Pattycakes got a 30+ inch by 9+ inch bash on the left rear quarter. Heat guns/dry ice won't work, thought about cutting some phenelic forming blocks - male and female- since there is quite a bit of room to work under there but besides the obvious 'beer canning' probability I don't think I could duplicate that beautiful curved hind end that blesses our sHARKs. Well... maybe with some (Blasphemy!) filler. In any case she goes in on thursday for surgery. $3178.00 and the insurance adjuster didn't bat an eye. Took four digital pictures and cut the check. Found 3 brand new quarters in Atlanta, Georgia. Mine arrived on saturday. I gotta ask Nichole if she knows wether the 82's were clearcoat or not ...do you know?
The work was figured as a clearcoat job, mit der Cherman paint so no biggie either way. What ever she was painted with is hard as rock though, no chips or flakes.
Later,
John S. and a soon be mended Pattycakes
