Dear All,
On a rebuilt engine (1982 Euro 928S M28.11 with Bosch K jetronic) done so far:
1.Rebuilt engine - works like a gem!
-sounds and smells good,
-temp and oil OK,
-performs ok (it is during its running-in period)
2. 8 new bosch injectors
3. New fuel filter
4. 98 octane fuel
The Problem:
Since I don't know if everything is OK with fuel delivery, I would therefore appreciate some system data such as :
1. Control and system pressure data
2. Warm up regulator related data (pressure with engine running cold (WUP active) and warm (WUP inactive)
3. Plus, is there anything else I can check for increased consumption? my engine is playing with me (with my wallet, that is).

Hi, It's me again.
I have managed to find the K jetronic data off a website (thanks, Nichols !)
<a href="http://www.nichols.nu/" target="_blank">http://www.nichols.nu/</a>
<a href="http://www.nichols.nu/tips.htm" target="_blank">http://www.nichols.nu/tips.htm</a>
I will check if I have compatible figures, then report back to the forum on my findings, THEN we'd know if something else is wrong that's causing this excessive fuel consumption.
Thanks, for the meantime...

Eran,
My recommendation:
1. Porsche Shop Manual (SM)has very good description how to do
2. Check/adjust all the gasoline pressure according to the SM
3. Install the Devek oil baffle
4. Check the seat for the thermostat for corrosion(not to overheat if/when you are driving the car hard)
5. Get a Rolling Test check and adjustment, only her it is possible to do the optimal check and adjustment
I missed the above item 4 and 5 after installing a brand new block, and now the block is scrap due to detonation and broken piston rings, in the rear cylinders

Erik,
Thanks for your advice. Why do you think I had to go through the rebuild (my block was fine) ?
I have now BOTH oil pan and control baffles from devek...
After the rebuild I had detonations for about 5 minutes when I set up the air conditioning and the auxiliary fan stopped working for some reason (temp went up but not overheated).
I immediately went home only to discover the above problem, plus that the ignition was set a bit too early. No detonation since then.
I am doing pressure checks tonight and return with results !
Bye

My 83 Euro AT on K-jet is running at around 14mi/usgal around town, in traffic, which I dont feel too unhappy with considering. I have no idea where the mixture is other than it spits out no soot, makes good power, runs fine cold and hot, and the plug colour is ok. Tune is coming as soon as I can get it in the queue.
