84' 928S 5 speed-
While on my back starring up where the selector lever used to be -Torque Tube replacement - there is a rigid tube about 1/2" in dia. inside another metal tube that protudes thru the floor and down into the space normally occupied by the TT. There is nothing in this tube and the top end is covered by the carpeting on the driver side. Port for salting clouds to make rain? Discharge shute for sand dispersal in icy conditions? Can't find in the shop manuals.
