WTB: Got any used shocks laying around?
If you have some shocks (front, rear or both) laying around with some life left in them – let me know. Maybe you recently upgraded to a higher performing shock even though the old ones still have some life left in them. If so, I’d be interested in the old ones for my ’83. Thanks.

I've got a pair of 1990 Boge Sport (red) front shocks with 111K miles on them. Not sure if they're junk or not, if you want to play with them they're yours for the price of shipping. I would hold out for a better offer, tho.

sean is getting ready to do a shock swap this weekend I believe, you may hit him up if none of the others fit your fancy.
Not sure what condition his are in, or if he even wants to sell them?

honestly the shocks are a bitch to replace, just buy new ones and wait
but if you want mine they are yours
i may put them on ebay, there is always some goof that will pay me something for them.

Iccy,
Why go through the trouble to replace shock and put used shocks on? By the time you pay for shipping for even free ones, you are part way there toward paying for new ones. It can be an arduous task to replace shocks. Do it the right way and put on new shocks. Your car will appreciate it and you will too.

I figured someone would take issue with this request and would site that very reason. I hear you... you're 100% correct, normally I'd be saying the ... but here's what I’m looking at in practice: It’s a car I bought cheap with the front and rear suspension currently dissembled and my coil spring compressor near by. Labor isn’t my issue, justifying the price of new shocks for a car in this condition is. It’s a 125k mile car, if in the process of doing an upper ball joint replacement and so forth I can swap in some lower mileage shocks, why not? Believe me; I understand that used shocks are not the norm but with price of new shocks and several fellow members offering shocks with less mileage than the ones that came off the car… why put the 125k mile shocks back on?
To everyone who’s responded with a set, my thanks to you… I will PM.

i guess if you bought the car without anything then yeah something used and worn out is still better then nothing. I guess if its a $2000 car $500 in shocks is a stretch.
Rob's are probably better then mine, i think i remember him telling me his were for sure replaced at some point prior so probably have half the mileage that the one's i pulled off do. But as i said in a PM, i think AGE itself is the biggest killer of shocks, but mileage is a factor as well

Ryan-
Actually my rear shocks were replaced about 50K miles ago, my fronts were original (at least there's no receipt evidence of them being chnged. The 50K mile rear shocks and 110K rear springs went to Fabio for one of his beasts.
I have the front OEM springs too- three brown marks with 110K miles too if anyone wants them. Cost will be shipping to whoever wants them.....

Well, if that's the case, then it's understandable. After this weekend at Sean's house (where we are doing a whole group of shock replacements) there will be a plethora of used shocks around. Take your pick and good luck!
