Default time to sell the hollywood car ('90 gt)

well,
i have too many cars after picking up the gts, so one of them needs to go. i hate to do it but the '90 gt is for sale. for those who don't know it, it was originally delivered by zipper porsche in beverly hills in mid '91. i bought it form the original owner in mid '04. original sticker was $93500. 29 option codes mostly x codes. presently has 29k miles. needs nothing. all fluids, plugs, caps, rotors, timing belt, water pump, rollers, tensioner, alignment, clutch throwout bearing done in last 2k miles. tires have less than 1k miles (toyo t-1s.) interior is as close to perfect as one could expect. original porsche crest mats (nla i believe.) exterior has a few mild blemishes, but you have to look for them. the only thing i've changed from stock is to add a short shifter. stock one will come with it.
asking $28,500. not sure if anyone here is interested but it's a starting point. pm or email if you have questions. i have alot of additional info.

Thumbs up Tom's Car Shows Nice

I think I saw this car at the 2004 SITM where it won people's choice best in show. Is this that car? I think it is. If so, it is a nice car and, surprisingly, IIRC the wood interior treatments were factory special order. Tom can correct me if I'm wrong, but, wow, it is a stunning car in person. No interest in the car. Just like to see them get good homes.

yes david, that is the car. everything you see in the photos is factory. rootwood console and door panels as well as shift ****. lots of unusual leather options also.

This is a beautiful and extraordinary example of the 928 near its pinnacle. There are very few in this condition with this number of factory options. One may be able to buy a cheaper GT, but I'm predicting you won' find a better one. If I didn't have so many cars now, I'd seriously look at this GT. Whoever wants it, and doesn't move quickly to buy while it's available, likely will kick himself/herself down the road when you won't be able to find a comparable 928. I don't know Tom...but I have heard about this excellent car.

I did see the episode of Monster Garage where the somehow converted a 944 to shoot golf *****.................no way I'd take this beautiful car out to the field for haying unless you'd trade for the tractor........it 'only' needs a clutch.

Well worth the money, I would even say that it is worth $40k. At 40 would still be a good buy.
Whoever buys this, it will be WELL BOUGHT.

You could always slap an "S" on the end.

I agree.
The solid history of this car is a bonus as well.
The buyer will be getting a car that went from the original owner straight to a guy who really knows & maintains 928s to a very high standard.
This car has clearly been in good hands it's whole life. That adds value for sure.
