Very cool car.
Red with dark tinted windows, no sunroof, no rub strips. If it was a 5 speed it would be about perfect
!
Welcome to the club! Will you make it to SITM to show it off?

Chris Hansen? I guess you are finally getting around to spending all of that "to catch a predator" money. ![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Welcom to the shark tank. You should get that thing ready for the biggest 928 gathering of the year. Its in NC and its called Sharks in the Mountains. June 6th. See ya there.

Chris these guys on this board are amazing. I am looking at your pictures drooling over how nice your car is and the others are noticing the missing windshield washer top and the slicks in the rear.
These guys are good. Listen, ask questions and your shark will be in good hands.
Enjoy

Welcome to the club!!
I also have a classic Mustang as a second money pit.
I have had my '87 928 S4 for exactly one week. During these last 7 days I have fixed a tail light issue, a head light issue, fixed speaker grills, mounted up some new wheels and tires, and started a TB/WP replacement. Hope to finish next week sometime. All the info needed for these fixes was found here. These guys are great and they want to see you car running in tip-top condition more then you do!!

Thanks for the warm welcome! So nice I made my reservations for SITM!
No, I'm not the Dateline Chris Hansen, nor the NFL punter!
The car is indeed automatic, and it does have a sunroof, though the picture angle makes it hard to see. It's about perfect inside as well.
For those interested, there's a story behind this car:
I first saw this car 20 years ago in Texas. A friend of my father-in-law had just bought it, and I was there on vacation. I remember telling him how much I admired it
Each time I'd go visit on vacation, if we'd run into this guy I'd ask about the car. It ended up parked in his garage, and he almost never drove it.
Long story short, he's getting older, decides to sell, and asks my father-in-law if I'd like to buy it.
We agree on $6k, and I'm pretty happy!!
Get this . . .69k miles, and the car still had the original timing belt! I was nervous just driving it from my house to the shop.
Much nicer than my old 914!

Chris, that is one great 928 score - to be able to obtain this particular car that:
A) you've admired for two long decades, and
B) is in such nice condition!

Chris,
Great car. Worth more than you paid. Be sure to check the e-clips on the headlight bar. They often are missing and can result in a punctured radiator.
