Default Automatic Trans. Pressure Cable Needed 85-86

Our youngest 928 owner, Whitefox, is in dire need of a transmission pressure cable for an 85-86 automatic transmission. Please let me know if you have one available and for how much you would be willing to sell it to the lad.

Thank you

Maybe I'll get lucky....

Even if he has the end that goes into the tranny, get it! - I'll try anything once!

There was a local 928 owner that had a sized kickdown cable on his S4. He ended up going to a bicycle shop and bought a lengths of bike brake cable. Then he re used the ends and housing. He said that it worked perfectly for him. Maybe you can try this too.

I cut the cable when I was removing the transmission on the parts car, otherwise I would have sold it to him.

Ross needs the housing end that fits into the tranny - he has the newer (1987) style cable in place and has installed a 1985 ROW transmission. The end fitting on the cable housing that used to fit the newer style transmission is too large of a diameter for the older transmission. I would attempt to fit the older end in place as I do have rigging tools.
Thanks guys, hope that makes it clearer then mud......

Marathon is the best. World class deep sea fishing less than 10 miles offshore. When we go down there, we like to troll the length of the dropoff where it approaches 40 feet. Then head out to the humps for tuna, wahoo and marlin. Either Marathon or Islamorada. I wouldn't want to live any further down. G
