NASA and SCCA require a main hoop that is a continuous piece, in a vertical plane (+/- a few degrees), with 180* of bends (+/- and few degrees). If you look at most FIA cages, they don't meet any of the hoop requirements. Also, the tubes are generally 1.5" or less vs the 1.75" hoop and 4 downtubes needed for cars of our weight for a new logbook.

I love the rear floormats with no rear seats.

The SCCA main hoop spec is 180º +-10º IIRC. A 928 wants a greater degree in order to follow its natural shape. I used up every bit of that tolerance and mine is 190º.

Thanks
Today is tough, I'm supposed to be at the track for testing right now but the old engine I installed and hoped would last a few months is an absolute dog, it won't rev at all The car is otherwise ready, Giovanni and the other guys are at the track right now and the weather's perfect.

That and the door profile is what got me thinking originally about an FIA cage.

They should use Ayrton Senna as their spokesperson.
