Lubing Sunroof
Hey all,
I want to go in and lube up my sunroof. Can I access everything if the liner is moved? I have already cleaned up the area that is exposed when the roof is open. How much effort is involved in getting to the rest of it? What lube is recommended for the tracks and cables?
Thanx In Advance

Removing the liner and popping the motor cover off gives you all the access that there is on the sunroof.
Open the sunroof half-way. Using a magnetic Phillips screwdriver, remove the three small Phillips screws inside the forward edge. Work the liner forward and out. When you are moving the sunroof with the liner off, be very careful of the flat springs that hang down.
The rear motor cover pops off. If you take the gearbox off, you can pull the operating cables for cleaning and lubrication.
I prefer to use a clean white waterproof grease.
