Default Anyone have a template for spare tire well?

I want to build a custom platform for the GTS that fits inside the spare tire wheel well.

Anyone have one?

Red UFO made a speaker box for the spare tire well. I don't think he posts much here anymore. You can search and find his result but that won't help you with the template. Build it out of cardboard to mock it up. You will save lots of time. You can bend it, cut it with scissors, and tape it together easily. Once you have it finished you can cut the taped seams and then use each panel as a template for your wood. If you want to go w/ fiberglass its even easier. You can use the cardboard without taking it apart.

That's what I used to make a template for this rubber sound deadenening panel.

For the largest flat area, start with a square, 19" x 20", and start trimming.

Good size to start with Porken. That's what I used. I would suggest that you start at the rear area (tool storage area) first. That way it is easier to keep it located as you draw out the section toward the back seats.

I did it the other way and it kept moving on me and I was not nearly as precise as Porken.

Good Luck.

Drop a PM to RngTrtl, he made one out of wood and offered to send me a measured drawing.

Here's the thread:
