I feel your pain Ryan

Everyone has to come, no question.

The reason is, Mr. Tyson (aka Rock Star) has a new garage to play in.

*that thing is clean now

Ryan, screw door panels, you've apparently not seen Johns "Step Son", that thing didn't have door panels, or a center console for the longest time.

Justin, get your *** out of bed and be there, we need to talk, and you might be better of w/o Ang there.

Well we had 14 cars and 16 owners show up. One new member to the group (Welcome Mike) who was about to sell his 928 because he didn't think there was any support network in the DFW area. Boy, did we show him how wrong he was. Best part is he is now thinking of keeping his pristine "Cockney Brown" 79. (yes that color DOES exist) The tech session went very well, almost everyone learned a little about home alignment and we managed to align 6 928's of various vintages. Even managed to change the oil in a BMW ( I still don't know how that car got in the que.)

Great pics Jim, why didn't we get yours in there just for 928 ****?
This was the best tech session that I have attended, out of many in the past 2 years. We got a lot of cars taken care of and some very happy owners.

Now we are trying to get the new ones on R-list. In the last 2 months we have gained 3 new members. Welcome to Brad with a low mile 86.5, Mike with a PRISTINE prussian blue 86.5 and Mike with a '78 #1253, the brown one.

*if I screwed the names up, please correct me, I can be name stupid like that.

I do be like Prussian blue. Yum. good time was had by all. I can validate Porsche color 'Cockney Brown'. The first alignment took over an hour. By the time everyone had a few beers, we were down to twenty minutes. And that was with everyone working one handed(slurp).

I actually saw concrete in Roger's garage.

ehhhhhh, move here first and try it out before buying. That would be my suggestion. Homes are cheap here in Austin, but I am not a fan. But I am single and 28 so you may have other expectations.

I will say the weather sucks, sunny one minute, raining frogs the next! Hot as hell in the summer, but unlike the crappy valley in LA, it doesn't cool off at night. 100 during the day 90 at night.......AWFUL.

hey DFW gang, i had planned on dropping in up there today but work was a priority.
would it be an issue if this southeast texas boy attended the next DFW GTG???

i didn't even think about asking if it was okay.
i posted in the central forum for beaumont houston area, seems there is no planned gatherings or "clubs"...

Come on up. If you want on the yahoo mailing list that we use for notifications, look up on the yahoo groups and search DFW928 and join the list.

Not each gathering turns in to a tech session such as today, but we have fun nontheless.

We've been hoping that some of the S Texas guys would start some monthly gatherings (there are quite a few of you guys) but no one has taken the lead. I'm sure that if you all would some of us might make the trip down to hang out and have some fun.
