Just taking a LONG shot here, but what the heck.

Over 20 years ago (maybe around 1985ish) I spotted a chartreuse with a fade to black 928 on the north side of Chicago. I thought it was the coolest car I had ever seen at the time.

Does this car ring a bell with anyone or better yet have pictures of it?
