I would recommend against - 3 reasons. Carbon is a real busy pattern, which makes for a great accent material but not for a full on panel esp. straight in the eye.

The West epoxy will emit vapor under heat, even go gooey, and will degrade like hell under UV, unless clear coated. It's very shiny too, and there will be a ton of glare.

The dash is suppose to absorb impact of occupants, not deflect!

Leather always is a great back drop, and is an amazing material to work with.
