Intake refurb question: Air guide mount require alteration?
The new part (930-110-579-01) is hexagonal in shape, where the old one was round. There is a recess in the bottom of the air guide, but the hexagonal part doesn't fit into the recess.
Has anyone had this happen? We got it as part of the kit from Roger and it looks like it's got a VW and Audi emblem on it, so we're not sure if it's the right one and we have to modify it or if we need a different part.
Thanks,
Adam
That's not right you should have 928 (or 930) 110 191 00.
Sorry must have screwed up on the part somehow. I do not even recognise the part number you have.
I will have three of the 928 110 191 00 overnighted to you tomorrow.
Can you let me have the the other parts back so I can try and find out what went wrong.
Sorry guys!
Roger

Does it have the "Do It Yourself" manual transmission, or the superior "Fully Equipped by Porsche" Automatic Transmission?
George Layton March 2014928 Owners are ".....a secret sect of quietly assured Porsche pragmatists who in near anonymity appreciate the prodigious, easy going prowess of the 928."

We only need one each for right now, I'm not sure if Adam ordered two originally. This is for the single part at the rear center of the air guide, which is different from the ones on the side tabs.
Thanks for the quick response. I'll get these two back down to you this week.
