Jim, I just changed out my rotors. There is a very small lip so they are used but look okay.
Send me an email and I can send you pictures, etc, if still interested.
Oh, dont make the mistake I did and not get parking brake pads. Mine were virtually disintegrated and now I have to wait till tomorrow to complete the job.

Has anyone had any luck having rotors turned?
I've been told late model GM units are too thin to turn,; however, I've had them turned in the 80s with good success.
Erik-Jim Bailey agrees with you.
Thanks for the replies.

Jim,
Yes, the rotors can be turned with good result as long as you don't go below the minimum measures: I.e. front 30 mm and rear 22 mm
When I said buy good quality, that's because many cheap dishes are (almost) useless - Poor lifetime, not balanced, and get easy rusty (again out of balance) - BTDT - Only head edge!
I always have two set rotors and calibres - A good 'new set' for summer and a 'used set' for winter. The winter (as least in Denmark) are extremely harsh for the brake rotors.
The best would be to get ceramic dishes, but unfortunately to get these, we have to buy a new Porsche.

A little off topic, but I just reading that if you run cast hole rotors, you don't need the water shields, as they shed water through the holes.
So you save weight with the holed rotors and the removal of the water shields/brackets.

Just finished the brake job; new rear rotors, new brake pads, new emergency brake shoes and new upgraded sensor wires.
I agree that new is better or I would not have made the change, but this might be a good setup for someone. I hate to just toss expensive parts like this.
So, if Jim isn't interested I am going to put them on ebay with a low price. Someone will get the rotors , all brake pads with 2/3 left and the old sensor wires that still look good.
There was no dust or squeek with this setup
