Andre, my gauges have been giving me problems for a while now. On mine the speedo, oil and voltage have stopped working. I tore apart the pod (not real hard to do) and started checking things. Of course I cleaned up all connections and made sure the three plugs were making good connection. I am almost 100% sure that its my printed circuit board going bad. We can order them from any of the big three. For my 79 in cost 55 bucks. Not bad huh. I will have it next week and see what happens. I really think this will fix my problems since I have been troubleshooting this problem for a while now. (i have been driving around with just the cluster sitting there with all the wires hanging.

Good luck..

Double check fuse #24. Mine had the same problem and it was an interior light short that was causing this fuse to blow. Knocked out speedo, tach, digital display etc...

I just got done fixing my printed circ. There are little brass rivets on there that transfer signal from top to bottom of the ribbon. Well they get corrosion under them and get lose and its all over. I took a soldering iron to mine checked every path way with a ohm meter and 2 hours later had a pod that finally works. Now ta new on would have been mush easyer but couldnt get it here in time with my limmited funds for a trip i was takeing. Nice thing about this not only did it fix the problem of speedo not working, but also my fuel and volt gauge dont sag any more.

Check your main power cable it runs from the front left hand side where you put the jumper cable to start your car, follow that down by your belts. My cable was worn through by the belts and my entire pod was dead except the 2 gauges. Replaced that harness fixed my problem
