I think i was, "smart" in realizing that the original manhole cover wheels tend to give the 928 a dated look.

+1, As I read through the earlier posts, this was the combination I had in mind.

The car is what it is, and the parts I've gotten for it are great, but I'd say these two really made it possible for me to do whatever I need to do. I can go in with a plan and lots of backup in case I (inevitably) screw it up.

I'd also add:
Kempf tool and
liftbars (Thanks Ken, they got here yesterday!)
Tools and experience (of others) make it possible for me to do this, not parts.
