1985 928S exhaust
Anyone out there know of a bolt on exhaust for my car. So far im leaning towards borla. Second choice is the Afterburner from 928 specialist. I saw someone listed that they have the same car as me with a muffler bypass, or straight pipes (RMB). I havent see that for my car though? Any suggestions, advice, or knowledge would be great!

The only reason that the Rear Muffler Bypass (RMB) isn't commercially available for your car is that there is no removable joint at the rear muffler. This means that an RMB has to be a cut and weld operation, which is beyond the capabilities or desires of most owners.
If you have the capability, you can make and install an RMB pretty easily. If not, you can have a local muffler shop do it for you.
The Afterburner 32 is a step up from the RMB.

For custom:

Ansa & Borla (Borla web site does not list one for the 85, but devek lists a borla for an 85?) have bolt on exhuasts
Any muffler shop can remove the rear muffler and run pipe instead.
Tell me how it sounds, my 85 still has the original. I use my car daily, and don't know if the neighbors want me to change it .
Did the original wear out? or just ready for a change? If your going for performance, then go custom. The Borla and Ansa are probably no better than stock.
