I've noticed that my door chime is "out of tune." It starts correctly at an E-natural (around 660 Hertz) but then dips about 20Hz after the initial attack. I have listened to other door chimes (live, and on YouTube) and have found that they do not suffer from the same "intonation problems" as my car's chime.
Am I correct in assuming that the door chime comes from the central locking system control unit? (part number 928 615 215 00)
My central locking system does not work properly (the driver's side does not work at all.) Are these two problems (the central lock and out of tune door chime) related? Or, am I being too critical of the pitch of a seat-belt buzzer?

Behind the electrical panel are two 4 amp fuses. One could be blown. Two screws hold the panel in place at the top, swing it downward and look for the two in line fuses. You may have to replace them with 5 amp fuses, as the 4 amp are hard to find. First easy step. The next could be a bad door lock motor. Have fun today. Gerry
