Post Rear, side marker lights

There must be a trick to this or are the marker lights replace and throw away? I tried to replace the bulb in one and was afraid of destroying the light. The damn thing is ittermittent and sets off the warning light..I do appreciate this forum as I have learned so much from all. It's almost time to put the beast away for the winter and this might be my last post for a while. I'd like to thank all for being here and sharing your vast knowledge I'ts forums like this that brngs the best out of people. The cream of the crop so to speak...Have a good winter everyone and you guys in the south and in California I'm jealous as hell....Damn its cold here...Regards Bill 84 928s with frosted windows...BYE

Bill, I also had a side marker out, which turned out to be two things; the first being the bulb was burnt out, I had to take the marker light assembly out of the car to replace the bulb, the second being an intermitant problem something like yours, turned out that the wire connection under the rear carpet, has gotten some corrosion, and the male/female connections aren't tight. Even after cleaning the corrosion, I still get the warning light often.....

Hey Brett..Thanks for the reply I did remove the light from the fender but I couldn't figure out how to get the bulb out..To me it is almost like a sealed unit. I sure hope the PO didn't glue the thing in there..I was afraid to pull or pry anything as the nearest part depo is 100 miles away..I live in the boonies in Ontario in fact the only 928 in the area...I'll give it another go before I put it down for the winter. Thanks again. Take care..Bill 84 928s Platium Mettalic

Bill, Gently, Gently squeeze the back of the light and one end will come up, then the other. Good Luck. I won't be laying the 928 or the Chris Craft up for winter either.
