Yeah- It's not the $20,000 S4 everyone keeps talking about that's for sure. I still think it's a good car for the money...I had him start it up and it sounds a little rough... He said the heads were just redone, and the belt too...
I think he wants to check all the fluids before we test ride...He said to stop around on Sat. afternoon and go for a ride. At this point, after hearing it run (exhaust leak and some tap).... I would say it's a $5000 car, would be nice start for that price... I'll post an update after I drive it on Sat.

I would say the car is in need of TLC, and some mileage put on...From what I see, the exhaust leak is the only thing that bother me, because it seems to be coming from the upper flange (like someone never replaced the crush rings)

Yeah, it's been sitting for at least a year or two...You can see fresh sealant. I said it earlier, he has another 928 that he drives. This was the spare car for a rainy day, I guess. Dude has more than a few toys, so it sat there. This guy knows cars, and doesn't have junk. I would trust that he stands behind his word when he says the car is good, and he will have the exhaust leak corrected on Sat.

I just can't get over the auto... I need a 5 speed or it's not interesting to me. If anyone knows where there is a 5sp s4 for this money let me know...I saw one in Boston two years ago for $7500, should have bought it!

LOL... That's like saying that a Junkie knows where to go to score a bag of heroin.
I'm a car addict. I only wish I had more space, and more cash. I would do this for a living!
Also,
I am attempting to sell this car on behalf of the owner, and I will facilitate the answering of any and all questions. If you want to buy the car, I'm the guy doing the talking. How can I possibly listen to conversations aimed at steering me to some foregone conclusion about this one? I JUST made this posting, and I JUST started to get the full picture on the car and it's condition; not to mention several interested parties with different outlooks and opinions, and different $ offers coming my way?! Lets not be rushing here, I'm going to drive the car tomorrow, and the exhaust leak should be repaired, and fresh oil too. I'll report what I see, and we'll go from there. I've been totally objective so far, in both my reporting on the car, and my dealings with prospective buyers. I appreciate common courtesy in comunication. No place for RUDENESS in my world.
