I'm not really a big fan of white, but somehow, I have (3) of them.

Thanks guys. I was kinda of interested and maybe was going to look at a white car but from what is posted here it may be a repaint in the wrong color....
BTW Kieth, nice wheels!

My old 86.5 was repainted in Earlscheibweiß. It's much 'whiter' in color than my new 86.5, with good original paint. The GPW has some yellow in it.

Actually, there DOES seem to be variations in the Grand Prix White. We had a discussion about this a year or two back. Seems there are 3 GPW's that vary from a yellow tinge to bright white to gray. If you get the cars next to each other, you can tell the difference. I know the touch up paint I had purchased for my car from Porsche doesn't match.
Here is a good example of two GPW GTS's....

Could be pearl white. In any case its ROW. Might be S but would really need VIN to tell for sure and engine number to know if it still has original type engine.

Anything was possible with paint to sample option. I have seen one ROW S which was that color from the factory but it could be few years younger than this one. Those black side protection things say this one is very likely '81 MY. That is if they are original.
