Post Speed Force Racing SC KIT

We have the final pictures up on our website for the S2 kits!
Sorry its taken soo long, but the process of making absolutely sure everything was a perfect fit was essential!

This kit is beautifull!!!

Our kit IS intercooled, retains the stock intake manifold and will install in about three hours.

Ane yes, since we DO use the highly eficient centrifugal type blower, and due to its huge dimensions, you must loose your AC, but its temporary, as we are working on a kit that will use a roots type blower that will allow you to retain that AC :-) Its a trade off, power for AC, more power no AC...its up to you now :-)

Anyone want to let us have their "SHARK" for a month? I'm sure an SFR SC kit will will put a grin on your face too :-)

Take Care!

Thumbs up

John,

Very nice to see that you are picking up the discussion that we have had via e-mail outside the list...
I'm sure I'm not the only one who have inquired SFR about the possibility of a supercharger kit for the Shark.

Last week, John and I discussed the possibility of applying a relatively mild boost (approx. 5 psi), thereby aiming for maybe just 20-30% additional HP. An added bonus would be a reduction in the size of the supercharger required, thus making it 'easier' to make a kit fit inside the cramped engine bay.
Personally, I wouldn't mind settling for 'just' the 20-30% extra HP, which would put my GTS well above 400 HP...

So John, maybe you can shed some more light on your ideas for a possible kit? Blower type (centrifugal vs. screw), any ideas for an inter/aftercooler?

THEREFORE: Any of you Rennlisters out there interested in letting John and SFR perform some of their magic on your Shark??
I wouldn't hesitate leaving my '28 in their shop, but unfortunately I'm located in Europe... :-(

Keep us posted, John!

I would need to have some details on cost etc. I might be a canidate. I run time trials and have one coming up in both March and April. Calif Speed Way (Fontana) and Willowsprings. I can handle the Vipers in the corner but they loose me on the straights. I am in Temecula just up the road from you.

HI Michael and Gary :-)

Yes, SFR is very willing to build a kit for the 928, erlier models would definately take advantage of the kit!

THere are a lot of details to be discussed. But in short as I emailed inprivate to a lister:

SFR gaurantees the safe return of your 928 in the same condition it arrived with the addition of the SC kit. We do not cover the drive train, clutch tranny etc etc....

YOu pay only our cost for the kit, no labor, machining r&d etc etc.

We do not own a dyno, we cover half, you cover half. All testing is done at a very reputible Dyno shop (THE DYNO SHOP in Santee CA)this assures realistic numbers and a staff of VERY skilled technicians on hand everyminute we run the car!

We will be utilizing a smaller blower (outside diameter) and would like to intercool the kit.

Boost levels will be very sane, we are not after bragging rights, we are after dependable HP gains that can be driven gard for long periods of time.

It doesn't take much to jump a V8 to great HP numbers. IT does take attention to detail and a lot of thought and care to keep it safe!

So, thats the short of the project. I'd be glad to take as much time as needed over the phone to discuss this with anyone that has questions or may be interested.

Take Care Everyone
