Post Desparate HELP, Power Seat Problems How do I bypass PC board?

I installed the passenger 12 way seat and all is perfect.

I installed the driver 12 way seat and the front was in the up position, and the lumbar retract didnt work.

i took the seat apart, switched where the switches go, and confirmed it isnt the switches.

I put the switches back where they belong.

Now the lumbar retract moves the seat backwards, and the lumbar forwards. the seat wont go forwards, the front is still stuck in the full upright position.

is there an expert in the tri state (NY, NJ) area i could bring the seat to? any suggestions are sincerely appreciated since i cant put my old seat back in (seatbelt buckle had to be switched) without additonal hassles.

i searched the archives, and will install the seat and use the allen head to get it semi useable.

thanks in advance.

Playing some more I can move the front down if i reverse polarity to the motor.

this leads me to conclude the problem is in the pc board that works with the memory.

how do i bypass the board?

can I hook power directly to the switch? i am not an electrical wizard, but,if i essentially make a new harness, can I bypass the relays under the seat?

These switches have a mind of their own and they never worked (or did not work) reliably for me. There is a chance the good switches are now bad. Try spraying cleaner in and around them, and do not take them apart unless you're familiar with the very small and difficult to reassemble internals (unless you're a watchmaker)...Just my experience.

Sorry can't help with locating an expert in the NY area, but I do have a word of caution: make sure the allen wrench is very well seated or you WILL strip the bolt...guess how I learned that
