Before I try to deal w/PA DMV, (on a car I don't as yet posses) has anybody succeeded in getting a salvage title cleared? Carfax shows a salvage title since 1988 although it allegedly was repaired to factory specs after a front end collision??

I have read that if you register the car in Missouri they issue clean titles to restored cars. As for getting that info off of Carfax once the title is clear, I don’t know what to tell you. My only other advice on buying a salvage or restored/rebuilt title is to try and find out what caused the title to be issued. The reason I bring that up is because if a vehicle is stolen and not recovered, the insurance company automatically marks the title salvaged. Even though it may be sitting in some guy’s garage.
