Heads up to all:

<a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2402025341&category=6775" target="_blank">kx-928</a>

Note the feedback is "private" ( or is it privateer?}

Plywod + flat-black paint + jigsaw = spare tire cover.

James, I went to the beckerelectronics site and click on the "pay with paypal" logo. (I was fishing for info on the site owner)

Here's what I got "Error Detected
This recipient is currently unable to receive money."

Suprize.

I am definately not defending this guy, but I have to consider myself extremely lucky. I had actually ordered a spare cover and the center console side covers right before figuring out about kx-928 and lifestyle on E-Bay. But to my suprise both items showed up and were actually pretty nice. Of course I don't think I would risk a 3rd time though.

"Private feedback"! Talk about RED FLAGS! Constant name changes, ect, ect. I guess there's enough newbies on Ebay to keep it profitable for him. I know this was discussed several times previously, but how can Ebay keep letting this guy rip people off?

We were sent to this forum by an Ebay customer who was burned by him after buying a part from this same guy. We suspected that we were going to get ripped off but at the last minute, he mailed the part. I was told that it is common that if or when he does send a part, it is junk. My part was fine. Divine intervention I guess. I'm just thankful to be warned and won't go back.

By the way, someone was looking for repair manuals? I highly recommend Jim Morehouse on Ebay. Excellent product in PDF form, easy to use and wonderful person to deal with! I think these are better than the actual hard copy manuals.

Ol' Mr. Hack was the winner on my recent sale of manuals... 2 weeks later: no check, no response to emails, etc. so I sold them to the next highest bidder. Then the preek (Hack) leaves _us_ negative feedback!! Seems he 'sold' a set of manuals to a guy in Maryland, cashed his check, no manuals. He was buying my manuals to deliver on an already completed auction. This guy needs to do some jail time.

Update... wife sent this guy an email advising that we were on to him and have alerted the 928 community. His reply: "Save all your crap for someone that cares"

We need to collectively get this guy off the street.

I bet if you summarized all this guy's activities, aliases, contact information, etc., that Randy might stick the "Admin:" tag on it so that it would stay at the top of the pile. Unless doing that would be somehow libelous.

Everytime you see one of his auctions, have a prepared email text body warning the individual(s) of the guys transactions. That way the person could retract the bid if they wanted too.

Someone on the list who has been personally ripped off by this guy should do the posting. That way, nobody gets into a problem with hearsay.

Cheers
