Stevenage Pin Wood Industrial, bloody hell! I bought tires (y) there a couple of years ago- for my rust bucket Fiat with bad ground cables.. Wait, that's someone else's tale- but I did buy tires there.
Well, my wife happens to be in Stevenage at the moment so you UK listers better get over to the Lister before I snap it up from beneath you.

Here's what it looked like before the Pimpin strip! Someone ought to let him know how rare it isn't so he can go ahead with his stereo project.

I just looked around a little on his website. He has it listed as the Porker Project.

PROJECT: Porsche 928 S 1981 - Dave Watts / D`N`D Services Ltd

I don't know who made this body kit, but it sure was not Isdera (www.isdera.de). All I can say is that the kit is overdone to begin with, and with the stripes it looks like what Spiderman would drive, if he had a side business in the red light district.

I wouldn't want to be seen alive in that thing!

In those pictures at the car show, or whatever, it looks like people are more interested in the jeep next to it...

Nicole,

There is a striking front "look" resemblence between the Isdera Commendatore and the 928.
Did Isdera offer Porsche 928 kits that sort of makes the 928 have even more similarity to the Commendatore 112i? When I was shopping for a 928 back in 1996, a red one in Canada was claimed to have the "Isdera body kit/package". But I never got to see a photo of it. Just curious if such a thing existed, as I couldn't figure that out from the German website

I try to keep an open mind, but the Isdera cars look like they were designed for the 'Buck Rogers' TV show.

Actually, the basic shape isn't bad a la the M1 or Espada. Just too much "stuff".

Didn't there used to be a turret on top of it? What ever happened to it? Isn't this the same car that they used in Leonard Part 6?

I could never find a picture of the 928 in Leonard Part 6, with a turret on top to compare....

TAREK: The Isdera website's language can be switched to English or French, depending on your preference.

I am not aware of Isdera ever doing anything with the 928. I have always known them as a company that builds their own cars, using lots of Mercedes components. I believe - but am not 100% sure - that the founder (or one of the founders) of Isdera used to work for B&B, the guys who did the 928 Targa way back when...
