Cause I was more scared of the charges for fleeing than the charges for speed. AND I didn't know they arrested people for speed..... go figure.

Plead NOT GUILTY!
Your Honor - in your most humble voice - "I was unable to signal as it took two hands on the wheel to maintain control and I was doing a emergency stop". The officer HAD obseved my flat tire and indicated this!

Actually it wasn't bad. It happened 2 years ago coming back from Frenzy 9. It's off my record now.

Actually IIRC the fine was $239.00, but it could have been SOOOOO much worse.

Neither... just saying. And yes, I'm getting close. I might actually get it running by this weekend. Hard to imagine.

I have a scanned copy of the citation at home I think. I see if I can dig it up.

Lucky. My 53 in a 55 (yes I typed that correctly) speeding ticket was $160-something.

There's got to be more to this than just "53 in a 55." Are we missing a 1? And please tell me it wasn't in MD. And please tell me you fought it, or explain why you didn't!

Well, Crazy Mike...
This is what i was prepared to do had i not been too drowzy after my medical procedure to drive there. (Remember in my first post that i was suffering from an injury related to being rear ended in my first 928 that i owned for less than an hour.) The cost to appeal nearly exceeded the cost of the ticket so i just let it go. If i had unlimited resources i certainly would have fought it on principle. The cop was out to generate revenue and not be helpful to a stranded motorist.

So between my car accident in the first 928 and this ticket you might say that I've been rear-ended twice now.

All Best,

Allen

It's in VA (US15 North leaving Leesburg) and I fought it. The speed limit sign was never changed when they repaved and widened the road. According to VDOT and VASP, the speed limit is 55, but there are still signs for 45. I showed the judge the obsolete traffic survey, pictures of the road now, and a letter from the VDOT area manager which explained it all. The judge's reply was "You are right the sign should be changed, but you still ignored the sign." Even the trooper was surprised by the verdict. The Commonwealth's attorney (who refused to speak to me since I don't have a law degree) laughed right in my face as I was leaving.

I decided it wasn't worth my time to appeal.
