What is the trick to remove the large white connector that conncects the electrics from the driverside door. I was under the dash for half an hour trying to disconnect it.

I just replaced the driver's side door seal two months ago. My '86.5 had two connectors and both were tie wrapped under the dash. I cut the tie wraps and that allowed me to pull the harness down a bit for better access to the connector. From what I remember, I used a small screwdriver to loosen the connector joint and then it separated easily.
