Awhile back I bought new hood struts - after installation the hood was out of alignment (again).
The hood was able to shut and open with no problem, until today. I was in the process of realigning the hood, when I was called away to help a friend.
So, the IDIOT that I am, closed the hood without thinking. Well, needless to say, my hood is jammed. It will pop when I pull the cable, but that as far as it goes.
Nothing, I mean nothing will give. My fingers are almost broke from trying to pry up under the lip.
I got a visual from underneath, the latch is free but the height adjustment screw is stuck -
How can I fix this problem ?
Rennlist to my rescue - PLEASE.

Drewster,
I had the same problem recently.
I solved it by using a 3" x 10" piece of aluminum and a soft mallet to bump the thing with the spring around it (height adj screw?) back and side to side. Use a bent clothes hanger to pull froward if necessary. This is what worked for me YMMV
Good luck

GOOOD NNEEEWWWSSS!
I have opened the Hood! -
I took a screw driver, insterted it towards the height adjustment screw - I then took a hammer and gave it a good whack - Presto - Opened Hood!
Thanks again everyone! (Goride)

If you are going to be adjusting the hood, take two minutes to pull the top latch bolt off the car. You can then open and close the hood as much as needed with no danger of hanging.
When you get the hood adjusted correctly, put the latch back on just snug enough to stay where it is put, but loose enough to be moved so it hits the lower latch in the center.
