For those of you interested this sat I am going to try to get some cleaning done. Soap and Bubbles, that's it. Sorry we missed ya Fraggles. Give me a call and let me know if you wanna lend a hand.

For those of you interested in re-assembly that will be the weekend of Sat MAR 8th, I am just not gonna get all the parts here before then from the looks of things.

I now have a couple more chairs so everyone should have a seat but as the old saying goes "BYO-?" Thanks Beerfish!

Lunch and food will be provided. If you need directions, contact #'s let me know.

Time for a bump,

I finally have all the parts for the intake replace, sunday seems to be the better day this weekend so those that wanna come over and lend a hand or for that matter just hang and chat. I have most everything cleaned/scrubbed, and ready to go back in. Last things that I need to get are oil/filter and antifreeze.

I have tools, chairs, parts, beverages and food. Those of you that don't like the food I am providing we can order out.

How does noon sound?

Sunday works for me! See you 'bout noon.

I still have the directions from last time when the timing didn't work out.

Slow progress but everything went well until I dropped a crush washer from the J-jube on the passenger side head during disassembly. Bye bye. I can't believe with all the precaution and my paranoia about doing that EXACT THING I blew it by not stuffing the rag far enough down there to block the oil return, then not checking it was actually in place before I started.

What's the tips and tricks on removing those things? We had to take out the tensioners to replace the pads, they were definately due. The plastic was brittle and the cam chains had worn at least half way through.

Any more progress after I had to take off?

The progress continued to be slow. We got both valve covers back on. Most of the hoses replaced, cleaned up the valley best we could and started on the "U" tube and intake assembly and realized I had no gaskets DOH! Also while replacing the TPS turns out that I had recieved the wrong part SO that pretty much brought the evening to a wrap-up. Cleaned up a bit and got the old parts boxed up ready to be sent back to Motorsports. Parts ordered today and should be here mid week so I may give it a shot wed getting some more work done but most likely as I mentioned wait till the weekend to get back into it.

Thanks again for everyones help!

Time for a bump I guess and happy Easter!!

Looks like we will be doing a little work on the car today if anyone is bored and wanted something to do feel free to swing by. I have all of the fuel lines and gaskets to put it back together.

Good luck with it Michael.

We've got ours on the jackstands again, down here in Richmond, otherwise might have taken a ride your way. Gotta put Redline in trans, solder the speedo connections and adjust the intermediate plate today.

Hope to meet you and the DC area crew someday.

Be safe
