Michael,
Do you know if the O2 sensor was replaced previously? When I replaced mine, it was the original and rust welded in the exhaust pipe. If you can, start soaking it with penetrating oil ASAP.
I finally removed mine by removing the cat assembly, soaked it for a few days with Kroil, and then went at it with a torch, 22mm wrench and a bottle of wine.
If you're thinking of installing a crossover and highflow cats, this is a good time to do so.

So I failed again today after replacing the O2 sensor. Replacing the sensor dropped the HC and C0 #'s by about 60+/-.
I have put it off for 2 years so I guess it's time for the intake refresh to chase down a vacume leak. I have already ordered the intake and valve covers from Dave L. I'll be performing the surgery this weekend feb 16thth-17th and the following weekend the 23rd-24th if anyone is interested in helping.
I am also trying to decide if I wanna replace the injectors with Fords @ $40 each or doing the Witch Hunter service @ $17 per injector.
This weekend everything out, next weekend after getting replacement parts everything's going back in.
Bring yourself and a chair, as Beerfish has mine and enjoy the show.

I would like to stop by. Could you PM me your location and details?
I was running rich and found my MAF was sucking unmetered air. Found the MAF was not seated down inside and around the O-ring. And the smaller O-ring was missing.

Guys,
Sat would be best but I am imagining that I will be spending time under the hood both Sat and Sunday. So I guess lets say Sat starting at 2pm.

I am not sure there is a whole lot to do tomorrow other than clean.
Al and Bill showed up a little before 2 and Al got right in and started taking my engine apart while I scrambled for tools and supplies.
Here's a before pic:
Al had to leave at around 2:30 so it was just Bill and I and we kept pluggin' along. Here's a pic of our progress.
Around 5 or so Matt showed up and Bill had to head out. I was expecting the connections under the intake to suck but they were more diffucult than even that. By 7:30 or so Matt and I were just getting the last of the connections off and it was time to start cleaning.
So, all in all, not to bad of a job just took time. Nothing broke, just a bunch of brittle connectors and rotted wires. Now time to clean, clean and clean some more.
All in all a productive day.
