Hey Roger:

On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the most difficult, how hard are these to install? Please advise. Jim in Tampa

You usually change out the vacuum hoses when you complete an R&R of the inlet manifold.
Completing an R&R of the manifold is about a 4 or 5 (I've done a few) on my scale. Plenty of detailed writeups to help you through the process.
I have never changed the vacuum hoses without removing the inlet manifold - maybe someone else has and can chime in here. It seems possible in theory but if it is in practice I don't know.

Too late for me....I replaced all my hoses. But fine quality silicon hose plus those (expensive little bastard) T connectors ultimately cost at least the $65, but included several trips to the auto parts store plus a mail order. Your kit would have been welcome Roger.

Roger; I would also suggest an option to your kit that would include fittings plus a run to the auto transmission to replace the typically disconnected and hard-as-hell to repair vacuum modulator vacuum line. I rigged up a copper line running along side the brake lines, after too much head scratching concerning how to connect and provide strain relief.

Right you are Roger; I was able to replace most of the hoses except ones that terminate on fittings in front of the air riser. The hard to replace hoses on the back of the riser were replaceable. A bigger reason to remove the intakes at some point is the air breather hoses that by this time (if unreplaced) are as hard as stone (no figure of speech).

I bought the replacement elbows from you, but think I found something like 7 of 10. Any chance you have, or can point me to, where the elbows are located so I know I got them all (90 GT)?

Any chance there is a photo pointing their locations out? (I can hope, right?)

Speaking of vacuum lines, when I checked mine they ALL were the hard plastic 3mm? size except for the elbows and end connectors. Which ones are the larger size and should it matter if I don't have them?
