Default Need help with brakes

Hello,
I'm new to the forum and I have recently purchased a 1982 928 automatic. I am having trouble with the brake system. I have already bled the brakes and used the 928 intl. tips on checking how to diagnose the brake booster. When I try and stop the brake pedal is really stiff and I need to pump the pedal to make it stop. Do you guys think that my brake master cylinder is bad? If so, is their anyway of checking it. Any help would be great.

Thanks

Ron

Forgive my ignorance. Is a vacuum booster the same as the brake booster?

in this case yes.
Put your foot on the brake pedal and start the car, if the pedal doesnt sink abit then it is bad.
