Need to hook up my Temperature control relay and need an under hood ignition on source.
? 2 if I was to hook up the ignition source to the power post would this provide a fan on until the temp is reduced or would it stay on too long and drain the battery.

Hooking the power side of the relay to the power post (properly fused, of course) would seem like a good idea since it'll carry plenty of current for the fan.

you might find a switched power supply in the 14 pin connector above the hot post, not sure what wire though

it is not too difficult to run a wire through the firewall (going under the dead pedal) that could go to a switched source where the fuse panel is. I did this and it took about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes.

When I installed Carls spal fan kit, I went with the hot post in the engine bay, and when I shut the engine down the fan only runs for a couple of minutes before the temp switch shuts it off.

Someone correct me if i am wrong, I think that on DR's twin screw fan setup one fan uses the Jump Post as a power source with a temp switch to excite the relay coil, and the other fan taps the existing wiring from the AC/Aux fan.

85- have switched 12V+ at the ignition coils (unfused, coils are marked ±, - is the spark trigger).
Easy crimp terminal connection, too.
-84 have a resistor before the coil.
