Hey gang,
I have a few questions for you. First off, it's ironic that I have Psoriasis and it seems my Shark does too. The front nose section has some clearcoat problems in a few areas. Can this be rubbed or buffed out? If not, that's OK because a front bra will cover it all up.
My sunroof has stopped working. Thank goodness it's in the closed position. I want to check the electrical to see if the switch may have gone sour. What kind of tester do owners recommend? I want to be able to check other things that will popup as well.
Finally, the T-handle on my shifter is loose. I use the dash indicator and never even look at the shifter itself. I am thinking of getting one of the Jager kits to replace the T-handle. I don't think that the lever itself (the linkage, I guess) is loose, just the cosmetic T-handle. That kit should solve that and look cool at the same time. What are your experiences with these kits ?
Thanks

For your sunroof, check your fuses. Passenger side, forward footwell area. Peel back the carpet and you will see a wooden hatch to look behind. If you dont have the fuse listings www.928gt.com has them on line. If not a fuse it could be a problematic console switch?
I have the jager shifthandle. Been in use now for about 2 months...id never go back to the T-handle. You will be happy. I went with the basic black GTS(i think) lever.

Tony, that sounds good.
So then my guess that the T-handle being loose and not the actual lever inside the handle is possible? I am thinking of getting the full leather boot kit and the GTS tip. The center console on my car is probably the item that needs the most attention to get it to look good.
Instead of a clock, there is a "Knight Rider" like LED display that goes left to right when the alarm is on. There are also some funky looking late-80's type LEDs behind the window switches that are also on when the alarm is on. Are these stock ? I really want to get it back to stock.
I want to fashion a plate that covers the clock and ashtray area to clean it up. Being a modeler, I am pretty confident that I can create one pretty easily.

I'm guessing that the paint shop did not use a flexible clearcoat on the nose section. A flex additive in the color coat is required on that nose to prevent flaking of the paint. Or, it was caused by that bra you mention. If you're going to fit a bra to your car, might as well get yourself a gold neck chain and trade the 928 in for a TransAm - a car that a bra actually improves the appearance of (ask me how I really feel about car bras on the 928
- hah!).
Re. your loose shift handle - an easy fix until you get that fancy upgraded shifter. Just pull the boot down from where it surrounds the shifter collar, and tighten the set screw you'll see there.
Tony's got ya covered on the sunroof problem.
